ITALA G.EL is a series of GigE Vision industrial cameras with integrated liquid lens control designed and built in Italy by Opto Engineering®. With resolutions ranging from 3.2 MP to 12.3 MP, the ITALA G.EL cameras allow to simplify the integration of Optotune® liquid lenses thanks to a built-in driver to avoid an external dedicated hardware.

By interfacing the EL5MP optics with the ITALA G.EL cameras, you can directly control the focus without using additional controllers and simplifying the wiring: all you need is a PoE cable from the camera to the PC and a specific cable that connects the camera to the liquid lens.

ITALA G.EL are ideal in combination with many optics that integrate liquid lens technology such as the PCHI023-AF (left) or those of the TCEL series (right).

Itala SDK

The ITALA SDK (Software Development Kit) is a robust and easy-to-use C++ API designed from scratch to support all Opto Engineering GigE Vision cameras. The compliancy to the GenICam standard grants easy and precise configuration and control of cameras thanks to GenTL. Moreover, the ITALA SDK features up to date SFNC nomenclature and sup- ports event interface to create deterministic camera operation and chunk data to provide meta-data on the acquisition
