ITALA G series now features 4 new ITALA® camera models integrating Sony Polarsens™ sensors with 5 MP and 12 MP resolutions (ITAxx-GC-1xC-PL models).
These new sensors feature a multidirectional polarizer that, in addition to brightness and color data, captures information about the light polarization itself.
Unlike polarizing filters, Sony Polarsens™ sensors capture the light polarization with a single acquisition over the entire image, pixel by pixel.
ITALA® cameras with Sony Polarsens™ sensors are ideal for minimizing glare and reflections on transparent or highly reflective surfaces such as glass, plastic, and metal as they filter out unnecessary light waves, capturing only those features essential for inspection.
- ITALA® cameras provide specific functions in the API to obtain:
- AoLP: angle of linear polarization
- DoLP: degree of linear polarization
- Stokes parameters
- 4 images in parallel corresponding to the RAW polarizations of the sensor
