Telecentric Accuracy Chart is a helpful tool for assessing the optical performances of a measurement system integrating OE Bi-Telecentric Lenses.
For each lens, the maximum measurement error caused by distortion is listed along with the maximum expected error due to deviation from ideal telecentricity.
The values of telecentricity error are coupled with the related field depth values, since the two parameters are proportional.
Decay in image sharpness caused by defocusing can be expressed in terms of width of the grey level transition (from 10 to 90% of the maximum value), as observed in the image of an object's edge. For this reason the "Edge Transition" values for each lens vary with the increase in Field Depth, as you can see by scrolling the chart horizontally. Egde transition values are grouped by colors according to the recommended application types.
